TO HAND IN HAND WITH JESUS
ROMANS 1:16
For I am not
ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation
to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek.
This is the story
of a bold witness and a prayer
warrior in the Kingdom of God.
I would like to
pay tribute to this beautiful witness
who walks in God's Glory so closely that Jesus shines
through so brightly.
I have been a
Christian all my life and was raised
in the church. I knew about the Father, Son
and Holy Spirit, but I did not know the wonderful
Spirit Filled walk with my hand being
lead by the Holy Spirit.
This wonderful
lady came into my life and she had
something about her that was different.
Something so wonderful and glorious
that it made me hunger for it. I did not know what it
was that made her so different, but I was soon to find out.
As we were riding
one day she ask me the question
'are you Spirit filled?' I said certainly, a little put out that
she
would have to ask me such a question - did it not
show on me??? That was all that was said and as
we rode along, I started thinking - why would she
ask me that. So I said 'what do you mean Spirit filled?'
She said 'do you speak in tongues?'
Oh Boy, now I was really offended - she
was "ONE OF THOSE."
I replied with a
loud NOOO! A little disturbed
that my best friend was one of those 'holy rollers'
I was raised to think were kooks.
Oh how true 'my people perish from lack of knowledge.'
Well to make a
long story short - this put me on the road
to researching everything I could find and all because
of this wonderful witness shining so brightly did I even
consider searching this out. I found a book
'In the Shadow of His Hand' about a Lutheran Pastor in
search of the Holy Spirit. As I read, I just
made the comment 'Lord if this is of you, I want it.'
Well I do not need to go any further as this is the story
of this wonderful witness, but my life has been changed
from that moment on with a deep and abiding walk with
our Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the very
breath of Jesus - the Holy Spirit.
Our actions do
speak louder than words.
The actions of this precious witness spoke volumes
of any book you could read. She was alive with the
touch from Jesus. I watched her as she prayed
for people and she was so gentle, and so caring
as she would lift them up to the Throne. I watched
as her prayers were answered and I just want to
say that I will be forever grateful for this witness
of this precious Child of God whose name is Nancy.
As I started
building this web-page to show my
thankful appreciation to her, the Lord placed at my
fingertips the following poem.
HAND IN HAND WITH JESUS
My daughter you
have walked with your
hand in mine for many years.
I have watched you as you have laid many souls
at my feet through your tears.
Your caring heart
and precious touch
has lifted many up and they appreciate
you so very much.
You go right to
the core of the problem
and never retreat in fear.
Many a searching soul has now turned their thoughts
Heavenward and I hold them so dear.
Your counsel is
always with such love and
straight from the heart.
You give such encouragement and turn my
children to a fresh new start.
My children come
to you with such trouble and woes.
You show them how to use God's power to whip
and bind the enemy and his many foes.
You teach them to
send their prayers to my Throne.
You show them how to open their hearts
which have become as stone.
Your walk is such
a delight.
To the enemy you really fight the good fight.
You take my Word
and let it shine.
You teach others to take the Word and all will be fine.
My daughter my
light shines on you so bright.
What a joy to my heart to see the enemy put to flight.
You are not
afraid to call down the power
given to you from on high.
You give the answers to my precious confused
children when they turn and ask "Why?"
Your walk has not
been one that is easy or calm.
Just remember my daughter - I hold
you in my hand upon my palm.
Just continue to
walk in love and show forgiveness
to those in the wrong.
Others will follow your example and with my
guidance and love will become strong.
