If you haven't guessed it - this site is about the love of my life - HORSES.

THE DREAM
Acres and Acres of rolling green meadows with a white fence around it and dozens and dozens of beautiful horses roaming freely. Large red barn with many stalls, students coming and going, excited about learning to ride.

Up the long winding driveway comes a trailer with an abused horse we have rescued. Another chance to bring life and trust back into this magnificent creature. We'll nourish it, spoil it, train it and when it has been nursed back to health and has again developed trust in mankind, we will help find a loving home.
If it has a special kind of personality that will tolerate children who are physically challenged we will donate it to an organization who works with the physically challenged. It is a proven fact, that riding horses helps develop the muscle tone and helps teach the physically challenged to walk again.

I helped out at a training barn one year and worked with the physically challenged children and watched them as they took their first ride. What a sight it was to see them look down at people instead of from the wheelchair looking up all the time. What a joy this was and it has never left me and my goal is to again help these precious children to find a joy in their lives that nothing can replace.

Hi, my name is Leslie and I am a 32 year old single gal. I have given you my dream - now for the reality check.
I have a three acre country hide-away in the heart of Texas. I live there with my 2 horses, Rocky and Apple, my four dogs and 2 cats. As you can see, I have room mates that do not give me a lot of flack and I am ruler of my domaine. That is until the horses want something or the dogs want something or the cats demand attention.
My little three acres is slowly taking on the picture of my dream on a much smaller scale. However I enjoy it just as much (well maybe not quite) as if I had the dream fully developed. But you have to start somewhere and this is my start.

I am just beginning to get prepared for taking on an abused or neglected horse or two. Everyone discourages me, saying its too expensive, too much work, etc. But tell that to the sad eyes looking back at you, not knowing whether or not to trust you. I love the challenge and am very good with horses. I train without laying a hand on the horses and they mind my every command.
I have a show
horse, an appaloosa named Rocky. He stands 16.2 hands high and I
show him in English/dressage. That's right - one of those fru-fru
prissy horses. I have many 1st place ribbons and am very proud of
our achievements in this area.
I have just acquired as a companion for Rocky, he was very
lonesome, a hunter/jumper which I am nursing back to health, his
name is Apple. A beautiful companion for Rocky, very mild
mannered and he is coming along just fine - even lets himself out
of his stall in the mornings. He just says its time to wake up,
opens up his gate and walks out.
