GOD SPEAKS IN DIFFERENT WAYS

This is a testimony sent to me after reading the poem about how Jesus speaks to us.

Thank you Barbara for sharing this experience.

Dear Sharon, thank you for such a wonderful Christian website. It is very
inspiring to me. You spoke of God's speaking in a small sweet voice if we
would only listen. I am a person that often speaks out the things that I
feel God is telling me and I often see looks from others  that make me
believe they think I am crazy. I have a great faith in my Savior, Jesus
Christ, because He has done so much for me, of which the most important
thing was saving my soul from sin.

I would like to share an experience that I had this past summer. I have a 22
year old daughter that lives in her college's dorms most of the year. She
only comes home for short visits on holidays since it is about a 5 hour
drive. About 3 years ago, her dentist told her she needed to have oral
surgery done to remove her wisdom teeth. He felt that it would be best to
have it done by a specialist. So this past summer she decided to come home
and have it done.  It was scheduled several weeks in advance. As the day
neared , my daughter and I began to be nervous. I  tried to persuade my
husband and several others to go with us. All said since it was just a minor
surgery, for us not to worry and go on. The day came and we were the first
there in the specialists clinic. My child, no matter what her age, was
having surgery (it did not matter to me that it was minor surgery. She was
being put to sleep. I could not help my feelings. I was more than worried. I
was scared. I  read a lot so I had carried a book with me but as I sat in
that waiting room, I could not think of reading or anything else but praying
to God to keep my child safe during this surgery. It was an awful, heavy
feeling I had. After a while I picked my book up and opened it to where I
had left off. The first words I read were "Don't worry. She will be all right." And as I finished reading those few words the most peaceful feeling
overwhelmed me. It felt as if God had wrapped his loving arms around me and
at that moment I knew that everything was going to be fine. It was only a
very short time after that they called me to go in to where my daughter was
and sure enough" She was fine."  I know from this experience and others that
I have had that God does speaks to us. We just have to listen.

But my God shall supply all your need
accoring to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
