This year has been a difficult year for many family and friends, especially in the area of finances and debt. We ourselves have endured a financially long and difficult year what with the move back to the UK and with hubby unable to work due to kidney failure. In spite of the difficulties, though, we somehow managed to loan people money! But Christmas is around the corner and we know there just isn't a single brass farthing left in the pot for anything other than survival. We, along with many other people, have been desperately wondering how we can come up with gifts for the season of rejoicing. How blessed we were to discover we didn't have anything to give at all. In fact, all we have is the ability to take - we are going to take away the debts of others to us! That's right, anyone who is sweating over owing us money and wondering how they are going to repay us no longer owes us a single cent. We already had the joy of releasing one desperate soul, who can't quite believe it and wonders if we have won the lottery or something. No, we haven't won the lottery but we have won a most precious gift - peace of mind in the season of Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all Mankind. Perhaps you have nothing to give this Christmas, but have another look, perhaps there is something you can take away from another's burden.
May you all experience the Love and Peace of the Messiah this Christmas along with the gift of 'taking'.
