Graduation Day

Monday, May 06, 2002 (08:03:32)
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-three students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt.  Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and moms freely brushed away tears.

This class would not pray during the commencements.  Not by choice but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it. The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling.

The Beginning Here

Friday, April 26, 2002 (06:20:00)
A slow start to a journey, I guess we're begun.
Here at the corner of the valley we've arrived.
From the  ashes of lovers and dreamers come memories of old, calm and collected silence.
Torn by absence, torn by change, calm and collected, sewn, soon fighting.
We belong and we finally made it.
I promise to never let you down.
I never gave up.
I always believed.
We'll do this together, just you and us three.
The chance of a lifetime, so much to see.
At times it was hard, but what good comes easy.
There's alot on my mind, but I try not to care. There's alot to be done, but it's only the beginning here.

On a Day lest Forgotten

Tuesday, April 09, 2002 (09:35:00)
Lonely indeed, once respected / A song presented gratitude, lavished and unrestrained.  On a day lest forgotten, a memory once wrought sound and begotten.  Accustomed to judgement instantaneous.

Now gone, Oh man of happiness!
Now come, Oh men of sorrows!
For it was the sound that made you vulnerable, Oh so vulnerable!  And innocence, Oh so innocent! It's a tragedy, another story of irony, where hope lies only in starting anew.

Reliving Yesterday

Wednesday, March 27, 2002 (12:22:39)
Sincere was yielding, a relentless exaggeration.  It holds you down in your struggle to stand up. It's unstable, unyielding, mysterious indeed.  A reason for belief in a world of disbelief, truth in a world of confusion. Sincere, it's not, fall down, lost control.
Pick me up I'm tired, I'm weak.  Pick me up, I'm afraid. It's unstable, unyielding, mysterious indeed.

Let's go!  Control holds you down in your struggle to stand up.
