Man & Creation

Sunday, April 16, 2006 (14:36:19)
"For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the glory that will be revealed to us. For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly but because of God who subjected it in hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now. Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies. For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will".
Romans 8:18-27

It's Only Words!

Saturday, April 08, 2006 (13:23:15)
Thanksgiving is a New Testament term. Praise is an Old Testament word. The New Testament regularly speaks of thanksgiving that can be done in one's heart and in private, and these words were, of course, originally written in Greek. However, all the Hebrew references to praise have the connotation of being public and open. Thanksgiving may be silent and private, but praise is vocal and public. Thanksgiving occurs when we breathe a prayer of thanks to God. Praise occurs when we thank God publicly, telling others what He's done for us.

Temptation

Sunday, March 26, 2006 (14:11:44)
A man with no tongue will never be tempted to swear. A man with no arms will never be tempted to steal. Tests are only of value to those capable of being tested.

"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it".
1 Corinthians 10:13

Another's Servant

Wednesday, February 15, 2006 (04:00:05)
"Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions. One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not despise the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not judge the one who eats everything, for God has accepted him. Who are you to pass judgment on another’s servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. Each must be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day does it for the Lord. The one who eats, eats for the Lord because he gives thanks to God, and the one who abstains from eating abstains for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God. For none of us lives for himself and none dies for himself. If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s".
Romans 14:1-8

Now Forgive Yourself

Wednesday, January 18, 2006 (12:59:13)
If you read the Old Testament, when somebody made a mistake or committed a sin, he took an animal to the temple to be sacrificed as payment for the forgiveness of God.
