We have a lot of bugs where we live. We have bugs we have never seen before. I call them Dr. Seuss bugs because they look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. We can't figure out if they are biting or stinging bugs, but some look like a cross between a wasp, a huge fly and a mosquito. They are wicked looking! The cats think they are great fun to play with if one gets in the house, but they don't eat them. They just play with them. We have grasshoppers and crickets, but we don't eat them. I did eat a dried grasshopper once, years ago. My mother bought them and I was young and brave(duh!). I've done that and don't have to do it again. Once was enough, thank you.
While doing some studying on John the Baptist, I found some interesting scriptures that gave me the willies! Let me show you what I mean.

The lottery is advertised as an easy way for people to make millions without having to work for it. Some Christians buy into this lie. Some Christians even pray before they buy a lottery ticket.
Do you think God cares how much money you have? There are those who make a strong case for prosperity. If the sign of a true man of faith is wealth, what about those who do not possess wealth? Do they lack faith or are they in sin?If the gathering of wealth were an important part of the gospel, Jesus would have set the example. Maybe the "God wants me rich" people think Jesus was out of God's will. He did not have a house, car or storehouse full of possessions. He did not eat at fancy restaurants or stay in fine hotels.Lest we be accused of expounding conjecture and opinion, we'll let the scriptures speak for themselves.
