I Choose!

Friday, June 15, 2007 (23:06:35)
I choose the path of faithfulness;
I am committed to your regulations.
I hold fast to your rules.
O Lord, do not let me be ashamed!
I run along in the path of your commands,
for you give me the capacity to do so.
Psalm 119:30-32

We are in control of the direction our minds take. We can choose to dwell on the good or the bad.

Astrology

Tuesday, February 27, 2007 (13:00:00)
Scientists tell us that over half of what we see in the night-time sky no longer exists. Many of the stars in the sky died long ago, but their light is only just reaching us now. Which kinda blows the "art" of astrology out of the water, doesn't it? Predicting the future using the stars is strange enough, but how much more dangerous is it to predict it using the ghosts of stars?

The ground of forgiveness and compassion is fertile; from it comes my harvest of the future.

I Heard His Voice!

Thursday, September 21, 2006 (21:37:53)
Our son called me from Iraq and we spoke for almost a half hour. I cannot begin to explain how it felt to hear his voice. I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t even cry, afraid to miss a single word.

After I got off the phone, I thought how much like the Father it must be, to hear our voice, not wanting to miss a single word. We have been deployed to a warzone, far away from home. The Father will do anything for us and desires to hear our voice.

Have you called home lately?

Missed Opportunity

Why is it that our children are not allowed to read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?
