Update: Weeks after posting this, no one has stepped forward to scripturally substantiate their belief that we must Must MUST call our creator by a particular name or be forever damned. Those who are/were curious or fearful should relax. That doctrine has no basis in scripture. If you call Him God and someone else calls Him Yahweh, He loves you both the same. According to the Scriptures, His name is YHVH (some say YHWH), no vowels or hint of pronunciation. Anyone who builds a doctrine on a particular pronunciation is taking scriptural liberties and thus, should be avoided. Stick to the truth. Stick to what you know and can PROVE with the Scriptures without massaging them.

Here is my original message and the offer still stands.

I am fed up with the games that some people play, their slight of hand or tongue, the liberties they take with the Scriptures to justify their own particular version of the truth. I am disgusted by the way the devil deceives people into believing that they are not saved by grace, but by some hocus-pocus mystery revealed to only a few.

I'm talking about those people who believe that we must Must MUST call God by the name, Yahweh, Yahuah, or whatever the flavor of the month is for the sacred namer communities.

We're going to do something about it here and now.

I would like to hear from all of you who believe that we must Must MUST call God by the name, Yahweh (or pick your particular name or pronunciation). If you believe that we are sinning by referring to our Creator, our Elohim, by any other name than the one you use, I would like you to explain it to me...and the thousands of others who regularly visit this site. This is your chance to testify.

Here's the rub. If you do not respond (and we know you visit and read this site), the rest of us will know that you have no solid substantiation for what you believe or you would not fear putting it in the public eye. If you do not respond, you will have denied your faith. You will have ignored the call. You will have forfeited, and don't you dare mutter anything about casting that which is holy to the dogs because that judgment will bounce back at you.

Jesus told us to go into all the world... "Go into all the world" means you have to put down the remote to the TV, get off of your recliner and give your faith some feet, and if you are not doing that, you may as well go sleep with your neighbor's wife because a sin is a sin and disobedience is a sin. Ignoring the call is a sin. Refraining from telling the truth is a sin.

One more thing, while you are submitting your thesis, please address why the Scriptures reference other names for God. If you believe that it is a sin to use any other name than the one you use, explain to the rest of us why you believe the Scriptures that reference other names should be discounted. Explain to us how you can become so hung up on saying a particular name that you cannot have a meaningful relationship with Him whose name you proclaim or truly rest in the love and peace that He gives. Explain the source of your uncanny knowledge of the pronunciations of ancient Hebrew even though you don't know how to speak Hebrew or Spanish for that matter.

Explain to us all how you believe that there was a conspiracy amongst the ancient scribes and translators to hijack the scriptures in an attempt to erase the name of God forever. (Yes Martha, there are some people who believe such things, because it is the only way they can explain their bizarre behavior and their cherished beliefs that contradict the Scriptures) For that matter, if there was a conspiracy, how would you know unless the person who told you was part of that conspiracy? Think about it. DUH!

Explain to us why His grace is not sufficient for you to be saved and that you must Must MUST call Him by Yahweh, Yahuah, or whatever you have chosen these days. Explain why you have chosen to reject His grace in favor of saying a magic word to open the Door. Explain how, by your saying a particular name, you are able to secure your place in eternity and the rest of us (and also those in Scripture who called Him by something different than you do) will burn in hell or drift into nothingness or however that fits in with your doctrine, and explain that too while you are at it.

Yes, I am drawing a line in the sand because you are deceived and your doctrine is false. Let's get this over with once and for all. Explain to the rest of the world how you arrived at the conclusion that you are saved and they are not, merely because they call Him God instead of Yahuah, etc, or speak with a different tongue or accent. I am calling you to answer for your arrogant, bigoted beliefs.

Again, if we do not hear from you, it means that you know that your particular belief is baseless. Yes, I am addressing this to someone in particular and he (or she) knows who he (or she) is, but it might also apply to you. It's time to put up or shut up. And by the way, if he (or she) doesn't respond, I just may post his (or her) name and tell why he (or she) believes what he (or she) believes.

Are you feeling the pressure yet? If not, you should be, because there is now someone who dares to stand before you and tell you that what you are believing a lie. You're not preaching a lie because you hide in your house or fellowship and surround yourself only with people who agree with you. You run from anyone who dares to question your doctrine and holds you accountable for your words and actions.

Be quick to give a testimony, and if you fear giving that testimony publicly, then either you know the foundation of your faith is flawed or deep inside, you fear it may be flawed and you do not wish to hear the truth. Bring your friends if you need them for support. Bring your entire fellowship.

Those who are interested in the outcome of this challenge, bookmark this site and send the link to all of your friends because here is where this issue will be settled. Those who believe that we must Must MUST reference God by a particular name will either prove what they are saying or they'll run from the Light. Either way, we'll all know once and for all.
