Grace

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 (03:35:03)
I am unworthy of my salvation. I am not worthy to go to Him in prayer. No matter what I do, my deeds and words are filthy and I defile everything that is holy. I cannot do anything to earn His love or even be pleasing in His site. There are no words that I can say. There is no gift that I can bring, to lay before His feet. I am not special above anyone else because of what I do or what I say or how I say it.

It is only by His grace that I am saved, and I have a difficult time comprehending that grace.

You are no more special that I am and I am no more special than you. We are all pitiful creatures, but He loves us. I don't know why or how.

So stop feeling superior to others because of what you do or say or how you say it. Without grace...without His grace, we are nothing at all.

Some people get so wrapped up in their particular doctrine to the point they do not know who He is. They have no relationship because they are too busy trying to do the right thing. He knows I am a scallawag and I don't always do the right thing, but He loves me and likes to spend time with me.

I don't understand His grace. I don't know why He loves me, but I'm so glad He does. So, if I am not like you, I can accept that and He can accept that. Why can't you?

My Dash

Monday, April 14, 2008 (22:00:00)
Someone sent me an email the other day with a link to a video about a poem someone read at a funeral and it got me to thinking about my life. It's funny how facing death makes us aware of life.

I suppose I've spent a great deal of my life confusing people around me by moving from one project to another, riding one cloud after another. Those who stick around long enough eventually realize that there is a method to my perceived madness and even though it appears that I weave in and out, I usually move in a particular direction, moving closer to a particular goal, accomplishing a particular task. If you were to ask me why, I may not be able to give you a clear answer. It's just what I do. What I accomplish becomes the ink that writes the dash between the date when I was born and the date when I die. It's a short line, almost imperceptible and easily ignored by those who are not paying attention. It's merely punctuation in the great mystery of life.

How depressing!

We [Still] Want to Know!

Saturday, April 12, 2008 (19:34:55)
Update: Weeks after posting this, no one has stepped forward to scripturally substantiate their belief that we must Must MUST call our creator by a particular name or be forever damned. Those who are/were curious or fearful should relax. That doctrine has no basis in scripture. If you call Him God and someone else calls Him Yahweh, He loves you both the same. According to the Scriptures, His name is YHVH (some say YHWH), no vowels or hint of pronunciation. Anyone who builds a doctrine on a particular pronunciation is taking scriptural liberties and thus, should be avoided. Stick to the truth. Stick to what you know and can PROVE with the Scriptures without massaging them.

Here is my original message and the offer still stands.

Are You A Liar?

Friday, March 21, 2008 (03:52:53)

People tell lies all the time.  Everyone tells lies.  Some people don't even know they are lying and here's an example.

According to actwin.com, starlingwatersystems.com, uvsingapore.com, scaleviper.com and many, many more websites, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency states, "Distilled water, being essentially mineral-free, is very aggressive, in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact.

Google this and you will receive about 41 results.

Sounds ominous, doesn't it?  After reading that, only a fool would want to drink or cook with distilled water.  But is that statement the truth or a lie.  You might think it's the truth because so many sites are quoting the EPA, but let's find out to be sure.

A Truck Stop Story

Saturday, January 12, 2008 (22:11:21)
One evening in a small town in Nebraska, a tired trucker pulled into a truck stop. He parked his 18-wheeler and went into the coffee shop. He ordered a hamburger with all the fixin’s, a pie, and some coffee.

Just as the waitress delivered his order, three burly bikers walked into the shop. It was clear from the start they were up to no good. They immediately began to harass the waitress, and then they noticed the tired trucker.
